Dr. Zane Fishel Senior Pastor
Pastor Zane Fishel has faithfully dedicated his life to serving the Lord, preaching the Gospel, and investing in the lives of others through ministry. A respected pastor, teacher, and leader, he has spent decades guiding the congregation of Temple Baptist Church with a heart for God and a passion for people.
Pastor Fishel graduated from high school in 1988. He continued his education at UNC Charlotte, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture in 1995. Later, with a growing desire to deepen his biblical training and ministry preparation, he earned a Master’s Degree in Christian Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2005.
In recognition of his faithful service and commitment to Christian ministry, Pastor Fishel was awarded an honorary doctorate in 2022 from Marietta Baptist Bible College.
Pastor Fishel began serving at Temple Baptist Church as Youth Pastor from 1999 to 2002.During those years, he faithfully invested in young people and families, helping shape the nextgeneration for Christ. On April 24, 2003, he became the Pastor of Temple Baptist Church, wherehe continues to serve with biblical conviction, compassion, and a deep love for his church family.
In 1992, Pastor Fishel married his high school sweetheart, Amy Groce. Together they have builta Christ-centered home and ministry that reflects their shared love for the Lord and for people.God blessed them with two daughters, both of whom are now married and faithfully serving theLord alongside their husbands in ministry.
Pastor and Mrs. Fishel are also proud grandparents. Their grandson, Anderson, has brought tremendous joy to their family, and they are eagerly anticipating the arrival of another grandson, Finnan, who is on the way.
Throughout his ministry, Pastor Zane Fishel has remained committed to preaching the Word ofGod, strengthening the local church, and encouraging believers to live faithfully for Christ. Hislife and ministry stand as a testimony of dedication, humility, and steadfast service to the Lord.
